Mark your calendars, Guardians. Bungie has officially confirmed that Destiny 2's The Final Shape expansion will launch on June 4, 2024, bringing with it the long-awaited conclusion to the Light and Darkness saga that has defined the franchise for over a decade.
This expansion represents the most ambitious content drop in Destiny 2's history. Players will finally venture into the Traveler itself, confronting The Witness in an epic showdown that will determine the fate of the entire universe.
What's Included in The Final Shape
The expansion packs an impressive amount of content into what Bungie describes as their most comprehensive release to date. A brand new campaign will take players through environments never before seen in the Destiny universe, with story missions that promise emotional payoffs for long-standing narrative threads.
The new raid, set to launch shortly after the expansion's release, will pit fireteams against The Witness in what developers have teased as the most mechanically complex encounter ever designed for Destiny 2.
New Exotic Gear and Subclass Updates
The Final Shape introduces a suite of new exotic weapons and armor pieces designed specifically for the challenges within the Traveler. Each class receives unique exotics that synergize with both Light and Darkness subclasses, opening new build possibilities.
Additionally, existing subclasses will receive quality-of-life updates and new fragment options, giving players more flexibility in how they approach combat.

Players who pre-order The Final Shape will receive immediate access to exclusive cosmetic items, including a new sparrow, ship, and emblem. The Deluxe Edition includes the annual pass for the following year's seasonal content.
